Ingredients

Sauce

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 3 tbsp sweet relish
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard

Garnish

Tacos

Directions

  1. For the sauce:
  2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl using a small whisk. Set aside.
  3. For the garnish:
  4. Prepare the lettuce and pickles before you start making the tacos. The tacos are very quick to make and cool down quickly, so prepare everything in advance.
  5. For the Smash Burger tacos:
  6. Mix the ground beef with salt and pepper. Spread a thin layer of beef on the tortillas. Prepare all of them before you start cooking.
  7. Preheat a skillet or griddle over high heat. It should be very hot and smoking.
  8. Brush a little oil in the skillet and place a tortilla in it, beef side down. Press down lightly with a flat surface (use the bottom of a saucepan) and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  9. Flip it over, place two slices of cheese on the beef, and cover for 30 seconds to melt the cheese.
  10. Remove the tortilla from the pan and repeat for all the tacos. To keep them warm, you can place them in the oven at 300°F (on a rack so they don't get soggy).
  11. Top them off with lettuce, sauce, and pickles.
